| LVCVA Policy on Halogen Lights ... very important information |
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority have restricted the use of halogen lighting in the Las Vegas Convention Center and Cashman Center. Their policy does not affect any other facilities in Las Vegas. The policy prohibits any halogen light over 75 watts and any nonshielded halogen bulb. LVCVA has experienced several fire safety incidents arising from the use of stem and track mounted halogen light fixtures attached to exhibit booths and also where the fixtures utilize linear halogen bulbs. Typically these hazards arise from misuse and poor maintenance practices, rather than from any deficiency in the design of the fixture or the halogen bulb it contains.

Print Ready Artwork - Achieving Great Quality Results!
Its really all about the DPI. Yes there are other aspects to this but the bottom line is that if you send us a very clear image with 300 DPI and it is 3x 4 it CANNOT be blown up to a 3 foot by 4 foot print and have any range of clarity. Digital images are made up of a grid work of tiny dots known as pixels. Resolution is the number of dots per inch (DPI.) The resolution of an image has a direct effect on the quality of its reproduction. The higher the resolution of an image, the higher the quality, and the larger the image can be successfully reproduced. The next most significant piece to understanding about digital images is the image size, which has as much to do with quality as DPI. A 5 x 5 image at 300 DPI, has the same number of pixels as a 10x10 image at 150 DPI. The two are directly connected. So if you are sending print ready artwork for a 3 foot wide by 6 foot high image be certain that both your 300 DPI and your Image Size are for that size image. |
