Lighting on the trade show floor can be a real distraction if you do not choose properly. First – the actually convention hall lighting is just for moving people along and not getting lost on the show floor. Think about your company warehouse lighting – they are about equal. So now let’s look at your exhibit. First your major sign – this helps everyone find you – you must use frontlighting with fixtures, or better yet backlighting from a light box or your actual tower structure. Next – secondary graphic lighting, again use backlighting if possible – it immediately catches the eye. Product lighting – use lighted pedastals or if within a display case puck lighting from above. The rule of thumb – if you have something to say graphically or a product to highlight you must light those areas to grab attention.

Did you know that you can use spotlights from the convention hall ceiling to highlight your signage and products at a show. If you do not see this in your show manual – call the show lighting experts – this is never that expensive – but you will glow on the show floor.
