Renting vs. Buying an Exhibit ... Hidden Benefits

However, it costs far less money in those locales to rent a display. In fact the "turn and burn" system of building on the show floor and throwing away an exhibit is very popular - although not very "green-thinking." It has taken a number of years for Americans to catch-up with the rental philosophy. And in the case of many large companies that attend 15-20 trade shows a year purchasing only makes common sense. However those same companies normally have a working relationship with an exhibit management team that handles all of their exhibit needs.

The rental market directly reflects the economy, after 9/11, when budgets were constricted by economic doubt, the attractiveness of rentals increased. However company executives and accountants might consider it more beneficial to be able to book an exhibit as an asset and keep the operating expenses that a rental would incur lower. Rentals give a custom look on a lower budget and there are no refurbishment charges.
