24 Hours to Showtime - Where is the Exhibit?

Every company that goes to a tradeshow has their own special story about "the time we lost the exhibit ... or the time there was no place to sit ... or the time the graphics came on the last day of the show." It is the nature of the beast (the show) that things just go wrong! So, here we, Absolute Exhibits, go off to Germany and Euroshop to tell the exhibiting world that we are their trade show resource in the USA and we open the show without an exhibit. Needless to say we made our point - it is best to rent an exhibit in the show country rather than ship long distances.

No matter how well you plan - weather, freight trafficking, customs, and people can cause untold diversions along the way. We knew there was trouble less than a week before - but what to do? We managed, we laughed, we told our story to all attendees that stopped, looked, and wondered what we were selling. After the first day's show - and in Europe that is nine or ten hours a day for five days - we built the exhibit during the night. But our point was made, especially to us, use the resources you can gather in the tradeshow venue area - get your head out of the "only we can do it and do it right" pattern. We had an exhibit built in Brazil for ourselves last year and it sent the right message onto the Brazilian show floor. We designed it, they executed it - we arrived on the show floor well rested and ready to sell. That is our message to our clients - and now we will remember it ourselves!
