What’s Your IQ ???

How many times have you heard that you never get a second chance to make a first impression? That rings so true on a trade show floor. Here you compete with 800 other companies having their one chance to make that same first impression. Think about this … what’s your image? If you were seeing your company on a trade show floor for the first time, would you consider working with you?

Your company can make a positive and lasting first impression. Doing so requires you to make a non-judgmental assessment of your exhibition properties – your IQ or Image Quotient. If you have a high IQ then congratulations, you are ready to go. If you have an average IQ – with a little tweaking and a few modifications you will be ready to put your best foot forward. If you have a low IQ you may need to start the whole process over.

Within the first three seconds of a new encounter, you and your company are evaluated… even if it is just a glance. This first impression process occurs in every new situation. Ask an existing client or two for an honest opinion. Send a picture of your exhibit to a competing exhibit house and ask for their feedback. Ask a stranger what they see. Most importantly – if at first glance your exhibit and graphics do not tell your story – your three seconds are up! People have to 'buy' you before they can buy your services or products.
