If you are among the many exhibitors that travel around the country with your display, you may not be aware of the recent ban by the LVCVA on quartz, stem-type halogen lamps. Residue left by bare hands can create hot spots which can cause the bulbs to overheat and explode. Fixtures using either a linear quartz bulb or a non-shielded halogen bulb are banned. Sealed halogen lamps have been approved. Always refer to your show manual for exacting regulations.
